My background

With over twenty years experience working in leadership roles in national and global organisations before retraining in psychotherapy and exeuctive coaching,  I fully understand the highs and lows of corporate life, and what it takes to create sustainable personal and professional change.  Now an Accredited Senior Practitioner Executive Coach (EMCC Accred), Integrative Psychotherapist (BACP Reg), Systemic Team Coach and Supervisor, I work in private practice and within my consultancy to help people identify the lives they truly want to lead, and provide support through the changes they need to make.

As the Founder and CEO of Therapeutic Coaching Consultancy I lead a team of specialists who work within organisations helpign individuals, teams and groups to achieve high performance and enhanced mental health and wellbeing. As Chair of the Executive Committee for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's  (BACP) Coaching Division, we support our members and advocate for the unique benefits of psychotherapeutically-informed coaching for individuals and communities.

My philosophy and approach

My solutions-focussed 'therapeutic coaching' with clients is built on a foundation of warmth, trust and respect, and underpinned by the psychotherapeutic principles of increasing self-awareness and self-acceptance to enable long-term psychological and behavioural change to be achieved.  To help people gain the confidence to 'bring your whole self' to work, relationships, and life in general,  I work with the whole unique person, as well as the challenges initially presented. 

 

Working with energy and compassion, the depth and breadth of my training enables me to work collaboratively and creatively with clients to develop a uniquely tailored approach that's relevant to their early background and life experiences,  and current personal and professional challenges.  I can flexibly adapt how we work together as our relationship progresses, autonomy grows, and goals evolve.
